A Talk by Commonwealth War Graves Commission Volunteer Gary Newman
Over 200 First & Second World War casualties are buried in the Newport & Carisbrooke area. Learn how they are cared for by the Commission & watched over by Vounteers. Discover who, why, where & the difference between methods of commemoration.
The next time you enter a cemetery or churchyard you will be able to identify & understand the diffence between headstones & the manner of commemoration.
The Talk is FREE but a donation to the Newport & Carisbrooke Heritage Society would be gratefully received.
