Havenstreet Steam Railway - Newport Line

To recognise 'Rail 200 - 200 years of railway travel since 1825', Havenstreet Steam Railway were invited to display.  People often reminisce about the railway and Havenstreet explains how integral the Newport station was and where it was located - where the dual carriageway/funeral directors is now. Also celebrated in the exhibition is the opening of the Ryde and Newport Railway 150 years ago in December 1875.
