Mew Langton Brewery
Newport & Carisbrooke Heritage Society, explored the rich history of this iconic brewery which was a major employer on the Isle of Wight. The company became known as the Royal Brewery in 1850 when it got a warrant to supply to Queen Victoria and the Royal Household at Osborne House. The origins of the company date back to 1814 and Benjamin Mew, later in 1887 Walter Langton joined and the partnership was formed.
