William Frederick Cheverton

William Frederick Cheverton (1884-1912) of Mill Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, served as a First-Class Saloon Steward aboard the RMS Titanic. He signed on to the Titanic on 4 April 1912, having previously served on the RMS Olympic. William's body, No. 334, was recovered by SS Ilford on 8 June 1912 during one of the final recovery operations. Many Titanic victim databases and memorial sites describe him as the last body recovered. William was 27 years old.
