The Newport Sundial

The original sundial that was in situ in St. James' Square since 1989 was removed at some time for cleaning. Since then it simply went 'missing' & dispite efforts to locate it, there remains a space where it once stood.

The Society in collaboration with the IW College are hoping to fill the void with a replica made by the students at the CECAMM Centre in Whippinham.

An initial meeting has been held between the Society & CECAMM to discuss the feasibility of the project. Updates to follow.
